Saw this pic of Kourtney Kardashian and it just reminded me of how much I love her signature red liplook. I had to give it a try!

Make Up For Ever Bronzer/ Yardley Oatmeal Pressed Powder/ Lancôme Doll Eyes Mascara/ Essence Long Lasting Eye Pencil/ NYX Rose Blush/ Mac Red Lipstick

Liner on the bottom of the eye was definitely a new experience for me! I always feel like I'm gonna take an eye out or something with the pen but this time I went for it just to give it a go! I also did the hair up (some of you know it's usually down).

As you can see I used two bases and two liners. Honestly, the only explanation I can give is I love the mixed effect.

I'm sure most makeup lovers are aware of this neat trick to make your existing beauty products work for you.

Here's the scenario: you're on your way out your door but before you go you have to put on some makeup to give your face that fresh, awake look...only to find you're out of tinted moisturiser! Fret not, here's how to get make your own tinted moisturiser in 2 easy steps!

You will need:
Foundation (I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish Foundation)
Moisturiser (I used Nivea Body Moisturiser)

STEP 1:
Take 2 pumps of moisturiser and 1 pump of foundation

STEP 2:
Mix well

Voila! You've just made your own tinted moisturiser and, after a little mascara, liner and blush, are ready to face the world!

This trick works well if you don't like the feel or the appearance of foundation such as if you find foundation feels heavy on your skin or tends to give you an ashy appearance.

Sorbet Cleansing Face Mask

When I popped into Clicks a few weeks ago I was excited to see this Sorbet product on display. As is often the case I was in a hurry and couldn't stop to get a good look at it but made a note to myself to come back when I had the time. I finally got some time the other day and picked up a mask in one of the various types they had on display ranging from masks to help with teen skin to aging skin.

I chose the Spot & Oil Control mask with tea tree, witch hazel and vitamin C (all good sounding things I'm sure my skin would appreciate). Each pack contains 1 mask with a recommendation to use it twice weekly for the first month and then monthly for every month thereafter for the best results.

I'm always a sceptic as a beauty blogger but I also love to have my skepticism be unwarranted and to have a product actually do what it purports to do. After using the mask I have to say this time I was proven wrong and I enjoyed every second of it! My face was literally breaking out on me the week I tried the mask and it was itchy, oily and a horrible experience overall until I used the mask.

All I can say is the mask was cooling, soothing and such a relief I wanted to keep it on for longer than the given 20 mins but I managed to restrain myself! My face went back to its somewhat less oily self within the week. Now whether that is owed to the mask treatment or my regular face regime or a combination of both I couldn't definitively say...All I know is I can't wait to try the mask again soon!
