Hello everyone! This is my first post of 2014 and while I'm aware most bloggers are back to posting I've been having too much fun to take pictures of anything (the horror)! That being said I do want everyone to know I'm alive and well. Yesterday was a good friend's 21st birthday so we went out and got a little crazy...at the game arcade, that is. I love everyone I hung out with yesterday and get to see them only every so often so I had the best of times! There was laughter, good food and more than a little competitiveness. Do not give me and my friends games that buzz and ding and spew tickets because there will be shouting involved. To my friend, I hope you had a great day. Here are some of my snaps:
Just a quick post to show what I wore to a friend's 21st birthday dinner. It's been a bit of a challenge getting back into the swing of things with the outfit posts and beauty reviews but I'm loving it. I was originally going to wear a pair of printed paints with the top and when I put the outfit on I just wasn't loving it so I went to a staple of mine and grabbed a black maxi. Unintentionally the look became monochrome (not that I'm complaining). I broke it up with a blue mini handbag and some gold details. I had a great evening with friends and want to take this moment to wish my friend a very happy birthday:)

A friend of mine had her 21st birthday party this weekend. It was tons of fun with dancing, pizza and so many photos I don't know how we managed to do anything else that night! I enjoyed myself and would probably have danced the night away if my heels hadn't put a stop to that idea (when will heels not hurt? ahh well, someday perhaps...) Besides all the shenanigans there were beautiful photos and stories about my friend shared which had us a bit teary and me feeling really glad to know her. Now then, about those shenanigans...
Today I turned 21! Honestly it makes me a bit nervous thinking about how old that makes me (hah!) but you're only as old as you feel so there you have it. My friends and I stopped off at Freedom Cafe for some tea and cake (so tasty).
After getting home I put on a dress, some heels and a coat to head to dinner. I picked up this Monochromatic number from the new Woolworths range (I want everything in that range...seriously) and paired it with my monochromatic low heels and some (you guessed it) gold jewellry. Monochrome isn't a look I'm used to but seeing the look on one of my favourite bloggers has inspired me to try it out. Did it work? I like to think so. More cake was eaten (chocolate this time although that doesn't begin to do the yumminess that was this cake justice) and after reading all my lovely birthday messages I get the feeling 21 is not gonna be all that bad...
